About Soft Power Inc.

Soft Power Inc. (SPI) is a Toronto-based social and health service consultancy and service developer. Established in 2011, the mandate of SPI is to support organization development, and strengthen internal competency of human services organizations. SPI also plays an active role in forming partnerships with non-profit organizations to develop and deliver social service programs for different target groups in the community, with focus on seniors, youth and immigrants.

Academic/Professional Achievement: Bachelor of Social Science (Honor)

Professional experience: over 30 years of management experience as the senior management of social service agency.  Leading various need assessment projects, strategic planning exercises in the capacity of the Executive Director of Centre of Information and Community Services and Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association.  

 

Polly Chan, Consultant

Academic/Professional achievement: Registered Social Worker, Certified Information & Referral Specialist, Life Skills Coach

Professional experience: over 20 years of experience in program design and management in the sector of social and human services; participated in the needs assessment  project for Mandarin-speaking immigrants in 2001; member of the Advisory Committee of Carefirst Family Health Team; member of the Advisory Group of FindHelp on training needs assessment.

 

Simon So, Consultant/Executive Director

Academic/Professional achievement: Master of Arts in Recreation and Sports Management, Bachelor of Social Work.

Professional experience: 12 years working experience in social service sector, especially children and youth programs; administered data collection from service users and designed need assessment of targeted community, especially for the Chinese community; administered the study of Needs and Challenges of the Chinese Community in Peel Region (United Way); administered the Study of Service and Needs of Chinese Community in Peel Region.

 

Stephen Ma, Consultant

Academic/Professional achievement: Master of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Hon), Certificate in Education, Certificate in Computer Programming.

Professional experience: over 20 years of senior management experience in education and social services; extensive experience in non-profit organization management systems design & implementation, strategic planning & implementation, program design & delivery, outcome measurement implementation, funding proposal & report writing, and human resources information system implementation in the capacity of the Principal of HKTA Ching Chung Secondary School, Human Resources Information System Coordinator of Miles Canada Inc. and Program Director of Centre for Information and Community Services.
